Fake Encounter: SC issues notice to suspended DSP

New Delhi, Aug 6: The Supreme Court today issued notice to suspended DSP of Gujarat police Narendra Kumar Amin on a petition filed by the State of Gujarat seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to him in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.

A bench comprising Justices Tarun Chatterjee and P K Balasubramanyan also adjourned the hearing till Friday.

The Gujarat Government in its petition had contended that custodial interrogation of Amin was a must to unearth involvement of Amin in disposing the body of Kausarbi who was allegedly killed in fake encounter along with her husband Sohrabuddin on November 25, 2005.

The goverment also pleaded that it is going to file a supplementary chargesheet challan against Amin.

Seven people, including three IPS officers, have already been chargesheeted in the case.
