Dutt's lawyers to file bail plea on Aug 7

Pune, Aug 6: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is all set to file a bail plea in the Supreme Court tomorrow with his lawyer Satish Maneshinde completing the formalities here today.

Mr Maneshinde met the actor this morning and after securing the latter's signature on a set of papers left for New Delhi this morning.

Close associate of the senior counsel told the sources that the lawyer will try to file the bail plea tomorrow morning in the apex court.

The team of lawyers will move the court against the six-year sentence awarded to the actor on July 31 by special judge P D Kode in the Mumbai serial blasts case.

Ever since Dutt has been brought to Yerawada Jail, a constant stream of fans and his supporters have been milling around the Jail, some with the hope of getting a glimpse of him. He has the company of his close friend and an accused in the bomb blasts case, Yusuf Nullwala, who too has shifted to another cell in the same barrack.

The actor is presently lodged in a high security cell at the Jail here, after being transferred from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail on August 1. He will be allowed to meet his sister Namrata and her husband, Kumar Gaurav, who are expected here tonight.
