Salman appears in Jodhpur court
Jodhpur, Aug 6: Bollywood actor Salman Khan, facing trial in the infamous black buck poaching case, appeared in a court here today. Salman appeared before magistrate K K Singhvi at the District and Sessions Court. The Chief Judicial Magistrate had sentenced Salman to five-year imprisonment on April 10 last year for poaching a Chinkara in the Ghoda Farm House case.
Salman had challenged the verdict and arguments are on between the defence and the prosecution.
Salman also recorded his presence in the court of Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit in the Chinkara poaching case.
Salman had appealed against the February 17, 2006 verdict, handed by Magistrate Brijendra Kumar in which he was sentenced to one-year imprisonment for killing two blackbucks in Bhavad village under Mathania police station.
Salman had also appealed against this judgement, the hearing of which would begin next month.
The arguments are expected to be complete today and if Salman's appeal is turned down, he will have to go to jail.
