Report on Congress-JD (S) alliance baseless:Siddaramaiah

Hubli, Aug 6 (UNI) Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today reiterated that the reports of congress aligning with Janata Dal (S) in Karnataka to form another coalition government were baseless.

Talking to newsmen here, he said it was the only congress that was welcoming the elections to local bodies. After failing to stall the elections further, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was left with no option but to welcome the elections.

''There is no possibility of JD(S) transferring power to BJP'', he said replying to a question.
