Kolhapur, Aug 6 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has decided to launch 'nisarg alok scheme' under which open plots and reserved garden lands will be maintained and developed by private sponsors.

KMC Commissioner Kunal Kumar today said the corporation has inadequate funds to maintain existing gardens and hence it has decided to allot them to private sponsors for a period of three years.
