Kochi, Aug 6 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today rejected a State Government appeal to stay a single judge's order, partially staying its agreement with five self-financing medical colleges in the State.

A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Mr Justice K T Sankaran, rejected the Government plea to stay the order passed by Mr Justice S Sirijagan on July 27 this year.

While declining the plea for a stay, the Bench said it would hear the main petition within ten days.

The single judge had stayed the ''merit-cum-means'' criteria, which the State Government and the college managements had agreed for admissions to the merit quota seats.
