Kerala HC rejects govt. plea to stay order in self-financing case
Kochi, Aug 6 (UNI) The Kerala high court today rejected a state government appeal to stay a single judge order partially staying its agreement with five self-financing medical colleges in the state.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice H L Dattu and Justice K T Sankaran rejected the government plea to stay the order passed by Justice S Sirijagan on July 27 this year.
While declining the plea for a stay, the division bench said that it would hear the main petition within ten days.
The single judge had stayed the ''merit-cum-means'' criteria which the state government and the college managements had agreed for admissions to the merit quota seats.
