HC nods recall of witness in Nitish Katara case

New Delhi, Aug 6 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today accepted the petition of the State government asking for recall of witness Satyapal Yadav in Nitish Katara murder case.

After hearing the arguments of State counsel Mukta Gupta, Justice V B Gupta asked accused Vikas Yadav's counsel Rajnish Chopra for his opinion.

When Mr Chopra did not object to the State government's petition, the court granted the permission to examine Satyapal Yadav for the case as the prosecution was pressing for Satyapal Yadav.

However, the prosecution's earlier claim that the hammer and wrist watch allegedly belonging to deceased Nitish Katara were recovered in the presence of Satyapal Yadav was disputed.
