Congress-NCP leaders meet civil aviation minister in Goa
Panaji, Aug 6 (UNI) Minister of state for Civil Aviation Praful Patel is understood to have discussed the political situation in Goa with the Congress-NCP leadership here today.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and his cabinet colleagues, besides Speaker Pratapsinh Rane, called on the Minister as he arrived here on a private visit to meet his foreign friends at a posh beach resort here.
Mr Patel also addressed the executive meeting of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). He directed the party leadership to further strengthen its base in Goa.
He favoured the setting up of an international airport at Mopa in North Goa in addition to strengthening the existing airport at Dabolim in South Goa to meet the onrush of tourist traffic every year with Goa becoming the most sought after tourist destination for foreigners.
