BJP demands to set up fast track courts for dalits

Bangalore, Aug 6 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party SC Morcha National President Satyanarayan Jatiya has urged the Centre to set up Fast Track Courts for a speedy disposal of the cases related to atrocities on Dalits in the country.

Mr Jatiya told reporters here today that the exploitation of Dalits and atrocities against them was on the increase and the Centre was not bothered at all about their plight.

The Centre should immediately take action to set up the Fast Track Courts to punish the culprits and provide justice to the Dalit community, he said.

Mr Jatiya condemned the stand taken by Congress President Sonia Gandhi that the reservation be given to Dalits converted to Christianity.

He criticised the UPA government policy of cancellation of reservation for SC students in minority education institutions and said this action itself exposes its anti-Dalit stand.

He demanded the reservation system for Dalits in private sector.
