UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to visit JK in Sept

Srinagar, Aug 5: UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will visit Jammu and Kashmir next month.

This information was given by Pardesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed, who is also Education Minister in the Congress-led coalition government in the state.

Mr Peerzada said Mrs Gandhi would address Congress conventions at Srinagar, Jammu and Ladakh.

He said during his visit to New Delhi, he had met the central leadership and discussed a number of issues.

Mr Peerzada, who returned here yesterday, said Mrs Gandhi during her visit here, will also discuss the latest situation in the state with the state leaders.
