Full faith in Modi's leadership in Gujarat: Kalraj Mishra
Varanasi, Aug 5 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Kalraj Mishra today said the party has full faith in the visionary leadership of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and any indiscipline in party organisation of the western state would be dealt sternly.
''Mr Modi has ushered an era of unprecedented development in Gujarat and the party has full faith in his visionary leadership.
Those indulging in anti-party activities in the state have faced disciplinary action in the past and if anyone repeats such acts in future, similar action will be taken again,'' he said here.
The Rajya Sabha member was in the city to inaugurate the Blood Component Separation Unit at the Indian Medical Association (IMA-Varanasi).
On the issue of strained relations between the BJP and Shiv Sena, especially after latter's decision to vote against NDA-supported Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in the July 19 presidential poll, Mr Mishra said ''we are also aware of the frayed relations between both the parties and a decision on ties with Sena will soon be taken by our party leaders.'' ''We had asked all to vote on the basis of conscience to elect the new president, but it seems only our own flock went for the conscience vote and nobody else,'' Mr Mishra said in reply to a query about many BJP legislators in Madhya Pradesh not voting for Mr Shekhawat.
Talking about the performance of the Mayawati government, the senior BJP leader noted ''it will be premature to comment on all the policies of the BSP government in UP, which has not even completed three months in chair. But, the BJP expresses strong reservations against the new agriculture policy announced by it.'' UNI
