Former Meghalaya minister Y Fuller Lyngdoh dies at 73
Shillong, Aug 5 (UNI) Former Meghalaya Forest Minister Y Fuller Lyngdoh Mawnai passed away here today after a brief illness.
He was 73 and is survived by two sons and four daughters.
Lyngdoh first became MLA from Mairang constituency in West Khasi Hill district in 1972 from Hill State People Democratic Party and elevated to a cabinet minister under Captain William Sangma ministry.
He held porfolios of Forest, PWD and Agriculture until 1978. He then reelected in 1983 and 1988.
His mortal remains were taken to his native village at Mairang in West Khasi hills district.
He will be laid to rest on August 7.
