Another round of Pulse Polio Campaign carried out in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 5 (UNI) Tens of thousands of children, below the age of five years, were administered Pulse polio vaccine in the national capital today.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit launched this phase of the campaign yesterday.

As many as 7,500 Polio booths were established to administer the vaccine to the children.

Around 30,000 workers and employees of the Health Department were deployed to ensure maximum reach from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs.

Stalls were put up at Railway Stations, ISBTs, Public places including Appu Ghar, temples, Metro Stations, Millennium Park, Zoo and outlets of Mc Donalds.

Apart from this, a door-to-door week-long survey is also being conducted under search and immunization Pulse Polio Campaign.

Around 17,000 workers visited different colonies including Slum and JJ Clusters to look out for left over cases and administer Polio Drops to those children.
