30 Indian co to participate in 'Gitex Dubai 2007'

New Delhi, Aug 5: About 30 Indian companies, under the aegis of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) will participate at the forthcoming IT exhibition 'Gitex Dubai 2007.' The companies will showcase their capabilities in IT hardware, software, services and IT industry infrastructure , a statement said.

ESC has been encouraging Indian IT companies particularly small and medium enterprises to participate at GITEX by offering special packages to them since West Asian markets hold tremendous potential for Indian companies.

''The West Asia and surrounding region are keenly looking forward to have meaningful tie ups with India. India's success in IT and an expanding pool of human resources have created many areas of co-operation between the two regions for mutual advantage in areas ranging from banking, insurance and other financial sevices, manufacturing, retail and distribution,'' said ESC Eecutive Director D K Sareen.

GITEX, the third largest and most important IT exhibition in the world, is the rallying point for IT companies, developers, outsourcing companies for showcasing their products and solutions particularly relating to computing and communications systems for building synergies with expanding digital market of gulf region.
