Centre allots 18 medical seats for students of A

Port Blair, Aug 4 (UNI) The Health and Family Welfare Ministry has allocated 18 seats in MBBS and two seats in BDS course for the students of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Assistant Secretary of Education in Andaman S P Das said here today that seats had been allocated to the students in various medical colleges throughout the country, including Christian Medical College, Vellore, Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, KG Medical College, Lucknow and Burdwan Medical College, West Bengal.

''These seats will be distributed among different categories of students on the basis of the criteria laid down by the Home Affairs Ministry,'' Mr Das added.
