Chennai, Aug 3: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) would unveil its project for the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM) soon, SEBI Chairman M Damodaran said today.

NISM, established on the model of public-private partnership in Mumbai, would source members for the faculty from overseas and six management institutes, including five from the US, said Mr Damodaran, who was here for a two-day meet organised by CII on 'the changing face of financial leadership'.

The Union Human Resources Development Ministry had agreed to include lessons on securities market in the school syllabus, he informed.

Noting that excess liquidity should not by itself lead to acquisitions, SEBI Chairman said the main factor was that whether these acquisitions would make business sense. This was where the CFOs were neatly positioned to counsel their management, he added.
