Revival of Marathi films is good sign for industry : Shinde
Kolhapur, Aug 3 (UNI) Well-known Marathi actor Ashok Shinde today said the quality of new Marathi films is a good sign for the industry to regain its old glory.
''Marathi films were once upon a time, known for their quality production. But over a period of time, due to some reasons it was slightly affected. However, now people are responding well'', the actor said.
The Maharashtra Government has also imposed a compulsion on cinema houses to screen Marathi films, he pointed out.
Speaking to reporters here, after the premiere of his 75th film, 'Aevdhe Se Aabhaal'' Mr Shinde said that it was a milestone in his life.
He said the film focuses on how differences and separation between parents (husband-wife) adversely create problems in the minds of their children.
Mr Shinde plays the father's role in the film with famous Marathi actress Prateeksha Lonkar. Their son's (child artiste) role is played by Ritvik Nadkarni.
