PM Manmohan Singh arrives in Bangalore
Bangalore, Aug 3: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrived here today on a day's visit to the city to review the agricultural and financial scenario of Karnataka.
He was received at the Airport by Governor T N Chaturvedi, Chief Minsiter H D Kumaraswamy, Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, Congress State President Mallikarjuna Kharge and others.
Dr Singh drove down directly to address a meeting of party workers. Later he would review the progress made under the Vidharbha type of package and also agricultural situation besdies the infrastructure sector.
He would leave for Delhi in the evening. He would be assisted in the meetings by Union Ministers including Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Finance Minister P Chidambaram.
