Naxals cut youth's body into pieces

Ambikapur, Aug 3 (UNI) Armed naxalites killed a youth and cut his body into pieces before throwing them on the Bihapur-Odgi road near Magarlod village, about 100 Kms from here, late last night.

Police said about 40 armed naxalites stormed the house of 26 year old Rajesh Tiwari, son of Anjani Tiwari, and dragged him out of the house and attacked with sharp edged weapons.

Later, Maoists cut his body into pieces and threw them on the main road, in an apparent attempt to terrorise the villagers.

Police came to know about the incident after passengers of a bus saw pieces of human body lying on the road. A police team reached the spot and collected 22 pieces of the body.

Senior police officials said security personnel were searching the nearby areas to flush out the Maoist rebels.
