MP records hike in revenue earning

Bhopal, Aug 3 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh registered an increase of about 25 per cent in total revenue receipts in 2006-07 (Rs 25,694 crore) compared to 2005-06 (Rs 20,597 crore), official sources said.

The previous fiscal registered a 10.36 per cent decline in non-plan expenditure and a 32.94 per cent increase in plan expenditure.

Total receipts in 2006-07 were 9.43 per cent higher than the budget estimate. Tax earning stood at Rs 18,562 crore, 20 per cent higher than 2005-06.
