Medical Board for ailing Forward Bloc leader Kamal Guha

Cooch Behar, Aug 3 (UNI) Veteran Forward Bloc leader Kamal Guha's condition was stable, opined a medical board, which was constitued today at the directives of West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee.

The octogenarian leader and former agriculture minister has been in the ICCU of a private nursing home since his admission on July 24 for multifarious ailments including breathing problem.

A four-member medical team headed by cardiologist Biswakesh Majumdar of SSKM in Kolkata arrived here today and consulted the local physicians before checking upon the ailing leader.

Chief Medical Officer Sunil Kumar Seal said the medical board was set up today for Mr Guha.

Dr Subash Saha, personal medic of the leader, also in the board, said whatever was possible, was being done to restore the health of the former minister. He said, Mr Guha was also given nutritious foods to regain his weight.
