Meel is the second BJP worker who has got embroiled in the fake arms license case. Earlier, BJP MP Nihal Chand had confessed his links with arrested arms dealer Sanjeev Gupta.

Four of the builders were arrested late last night while the fifth Prashant Gupta was absconding. During initial interrogations, the builders confessed that they were not residents of Ganganagar and had only given money to a middleman to acquire arms license. Rest of the work was done by the middleman.

However, Meel has denied any involvement in the case and said he had not signed their ration cards and was amazed how his seal was there on the cards.
