Euromoney Award for ICICI Bank

Indore, Aug 3 (UNI) ICICI Bank has been conferred the Euromoney Award 2007 for the Best Bank in the Asia-Pacific Region.

Mr Madhav Kalyan -- the Chief Executive, Hong Kong Branch and Regional Head, North Asia -- recently received the award on behalf of the bank, a release said here.

Since 1992, Euromoney -- a publication for global banking and capital markets -- has singled out outstanding institutions in the finance industry. The Awards for Excellence incorporate 25 global awards for banking and capital markets. The awards have a central theme -- they recognise institutions and individuals that demonstrate leadership, innovation and momentum.

ICICI Bank is India's second largest bank with over 50 years' presence in financial services and with assets of over 67 billion dollars as on December 31, 2006. The bank is a leading player in retail and services its customer base through a network of over 780 branches and extension counters, 3,300 ATMs, call centres and Internet banking.
