APHRC directs CID to register cases against police

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Human Rights Commission (APHRC) Chairman Justice B Subhashan Reddy today directed the CBCID to register cases against the guilty police personnel, who opened fire at Mudigonda in Khammam district, claiming seven lives.

Taking suo motu action based on media reports of the incident, he also directed the CID to take action against the police as under the criminal procedure code.

After receiving a report on the incident from Khammam district Collector, the Chairman directed the police department to take necessary action against the guilty, a release here said.
