AP HC reserves order on Mudigonda firing
Hyderabad, Aug 3 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today reserved orders on a public interest litigation, seeking judicial inquiry by a sitting judge into the Mudigonda firing in Khammam district, which claimed seven lives.
A Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice G S Singhvi and Mr Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy, heard the arguments of both sides, before concluding hearing on the PIL, filed by TDP leader Prasad.
Earlier, the State Advocate General submitted a copy of the GO, constituting the Panduranga Rao Committee to go into the issue and submit a report to the State Government on the circumstances that led to the firing. Mr I Panduranga Rao was a retired Judge of the High Court.
