2 die of viral fever; toll at 28

Mainpuri, Aug 3 (UNI) At least two people have died of viral fever in the last 24 hrs here taking the toll due to contagious disease in this season so far to 28.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) A C Verma said two persons had died since yesterday. One of the victims was identified as Mamta.

He informed that all possible steps were taken to contain the spread of contagious disease in the current monsoon season.

Since, several areas in the district had become waterlogged, people are suffering with various water-borne diseases.
