Woman and her two lovers get life term for killing husband

Phagwara, Aug 2 (UNI) A local court has sentenced a woman and her two lovers to life imprisoment for murdering her husband in 2004.

Kulwinder Kaur and her two lovers, Bawa Singh and Satnam Singh were sent behind bars for life by the District Sessions Judge for murdering her husband, Balwant Singh in Samrai village in Phillaur sub-division on July 9, 2004.

According to the prosecution, Kulwinder had relationship with Bawa and Satnam. When her husband strongly objected to the liaison, Kulwinder and her lovers murdered Balwant and threw the body in the fields.

Later, she herself lodged a complaint in the police station that her husband was missing.

However, the police arrested the trio after investigations exposed their role and all the three were pronounced guilty by the court after three-year-long trial.
