UHBVN to release pending tubewell connections

Chandigarh, Aug 2 (UNI) The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) would release all the pending tubewell connections of those applicants of Jind district during the current financial year who had deposited the full amount.

Instructions have been given to release the connections on priority basis and the work would be completed on turn key basis.

Most of the 1376 pending connections where installation of new distribution transformers was required would be released by the end of December this year.

Giving details of the ongoing works being carried out in the Jind district jointly by the UHBVN and the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam (HVPN), Lt Gen (Retd) O S Lohchab, Chairman, Haryana Power Utilities said today that the domestic and tubewell load of 43 feeders of 11KV level supplying power to the villages would be segregated under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna (RGGVY) during the current financial year. By this scheme, 331 villages of the district would be benefited and the domestic consumers would get more power after segregation of feeders. The Nigam had also identified 25 heavily overloaded feeders of 11KV level including four in Jind town and 21 in rural areas.
