SS-BJP stage walk out in Council

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Shiv Sena and BJP members who had yesterday given a no confidence motion against Legislative Council chairman Shivajirao Deshmukh alleging he was biased, today staged a walk out.

As soon as the House assembled for Question Hour on the last day of the Monsoon Session and the chairman took his seat, the Shiv Sena and BJP members staged a walk out. The House proceedings, however, continued till the end of the Question Hour.

Later, Deputy Chairman Vasant Davkhare took over charge of the proceedings and the Sena and BJP members returned back.
