Southwest monsoon vigorous over Rayalaseema
Hyderabad, Aug 2 (UNI) Southwest monsoon continued to be vigorous over Rayalaseema, while it rained at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
According to weather office here today, Anantapur recorded the highest rainfall of eight cm followed by Rajahmundry and Pakala seven cm each.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm were Chittoor, Addanki, Bhimadole and Bhimavaram, Miryalguda five cm each, Kavali, Chintalapudi, Tadepalligudem and Tanuku, Palamaner four cm each.
Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely at a few places over Telangana, the weather office added.
