Sixth Pay Commission to cover SC employees: Cabinet

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Supreme Court employees will be covered under the Sixth Pay Commission for central government employees, the government announced today.

The decision to extend the pay commission recommendations, expected in a few months, to the Supreme Court employees was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters.

The Supreme Court had suggested the inclusion of its employees within the purview of the pay commission, Mr Dasmunsi said.
