Seven anganwaditudents taken ill after consuming poisonous day meal
New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) Seven students of an 'anganwadi' school in Trilokpuri area of East Delhi were taken ill after consuming 'poisonous' food this afternoon.
However, the condition of children, admitted to the Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital, is said to be out of danger, said the police.
It was later found that a lizard had fallen in the 'khichri' the children had consumed during day meal.
The children were aged between 4-14 years.
No case has been registered yet as the food sample has been sent for laboratory tests, police added.
The 'Anganwadi' School No 97 in Block 22 was being run by Asha Sharma and Naresh Kumari.
