Ranthambhore bans diesel-run vehicles inside park

Kota, Aug 2 (UNI) The Supreme Court ban prohibiting private diesel-run vehicles inside Ranthambhore National Park comes into effect from today.

The ban is not likely to affect the tourism oindustry of the park as tourists are not allowed between July 1 to September 30 every year.

However, the entry of devotees into the ancient and famous Ganesh temple inside the park would be affected by this ban. Petrol-run vehicles would be allowed inside the park.

Nature guide Nagendra Singh Rajawat said the ban would have its impact when the park opens for tourists on October 1.

The regular practice is that 20 canters and 20 gypsy vehicles are allowed twice inside the park which carry tourists.
