Rally to protest anti-minority stance of Ker Govt on Aug 5

Kottayam, Aug 2 (UNI) Pala Diocese will take out a rally and hold a public meeting at Pala on August 5 to protest against the 'anti-minority' stance of the Kerala Government.

Addressing a press conference here today, general convener Fr Mathew Chandrankunnel said Catholica Bava, Baselios Mar Clemis would deliver the keynote address at the meeting.

The meeting would also be addressed by Pala Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangattu, Bishop Mar Joseph Pallicaparambil and other leaders, he informed.

Nearly 50,000 youth from KCYM, KCSL, DCMS, Jesus Youth and other organisations would take part in the rally, organised under the auspices of the Pala Diocese.

The rally was to press the demand to drop the anti-minority education policy of the government and to protest the propaganda by government and Left Front parties against educational institutions run by Christians and Church Heads, he added.
