Rains continue to lash the city Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Incessant rains continued to lash the city and its suburbs for a second consecutive day today, slowing down vehicular traffic in parts of the metropolis.

The total rainfall in the city for the last 24 hours till 0830 hrs this morning was 68.1 mm at Colaba and 35.8 mm at Santacruz.

Rail services on the Central and Western lines were running on schedule, without any disruption. Even the air services were not affected by the rains.

Heavy rainfall was likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Thane, Raigad and districts of South Konkan region during the next 24 hours.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Thane district during the the same period.
