Punj Llloyd subsidiary bags 660 cr Sentosa order

New Delhi, Aug 2: Punj Lloyd Ltd (PLL) today said its subsidiary, Sembawang Engineers and Constructors (Sembawang), has secured a contract worth over Rs 660 crore (250 million Singaopre dollar) for sub-structural works at the Sentosa Integrated Resort Development.

Sembawang, a global EPC services provider in energy and infrastructure domains has been awarded the contract by Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Genting Group, said a statement.

The scope of work in the contract includes the construction and completion of the raft foundation, three levels of the basement and all associated mechanical and engineering work for the massive development.

The schedule time for completion of the project is August 2008.

The Sentosa Integrated Resort (IR) Development is an IR project being developed in Singapore. Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd successfully clinched this multi-billion construction contract.

Head quartered in Singapore, Sembawang is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Punj Lloyd and was established in 1982. Sembawang is one of the largest engineering and construction groups in Southeast Asia, with core capabilities in Engineering, Procurement and Construction of buildings and infrastructure.
