Provide relief to flood-hit people: Prez asks CMs

New Delhi, Aug 2 (UNI) President Pratibha Devisingh Patil today asked the Chief Ministers of Asom, Meghalaya and Bihar to provide relief to the flood-hit people.

In separate letters to the Chief Ministers, Mrs Patil condoled the loss of lives and expressed regret over damage to property due to the floods in some parts of these states.

The President expressed her sympathy to the affected families and hoped that the state governments were extending all help to them.
