Maudhany not to sue TN Govt
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 2 (UNI) Acquitted People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman Abdul Nasser Maudhany today clarified that he was not willing to sue the Tamil Nadu Government for detaining him in jail in connection with the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts case, without any reason.
Addressing a media conference here, the firebrand orator, who was acquitted of all charges in the sensational case by a Special Court yesterday, however, warned that if the Tamil Nadu Government took up the case again, he would not hesitate to do so.
Mr Maudhany, cited as the 14th accused in the case, was set at liberty last night after the Special Court acquitted him of all charges in the sensational case and granted him bail. He had served nine years in the Coimbatore Central Prison.
The Special Court Judge had observed that the five charges against Mr Maudhany, including criminal conspiracy, provocative speeches and transportation of explosive materials from Kerala to Coimbatore, were not proved.
