Lakshmi Vilas Bank net up 20 pc

Mumbai, Aug 2 (UNI) Laskhmi Vilas Bank has posted a net profit of Rs 15.09 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, up 20 per cent over last fiscal's corresponding quarter net profit of Rs 12.57 crore.

The EPS stood at Rs 3.07. The total income of the Bank grew by 30 per cent to Rs 136.32 crore, along with interest on advances which grew at 31 per cent to Rs 89.61 crore.

During the present fiscal, the Bank plans to open 15 branches and attain a business volume of over Rs 11,000 crore. The Bank has 236 branches including five extension counters with 1.4 million customers, a press release here said.
