Kiran Bedi meets Home Minister Shivraj Patil

New Delhi, Aug 2: Amid controversy over her being sidelined for the post of Delhi Police Commissioner, supercop Kiran Bedi today met Home Minister Shivraj Patil at his North Block office.

The meeting whcih lasted about half an hour was described as ''useful and frank'' by Ms Bedi.

''I am back to work from tomorrow and committed to giving my best and all to it,'' Ms Bedi told UNI, adding that she had ''a good meeting'' with the Home Minister.

''The talks were useful and frank and I am joining work from tomorrow.'' Declining to divulge details of the meeting, the Magsaysay award winner said, ''All that I can say that it was a fruitful meeting.'' Presently, Director General Bureau of Police Research and Development Ms Bedi, whose name was among the two sent for Delhi Police's top job, had expressed disgust and dismay after being superseded by Mr Y S Dadwal despite being two years senior to him.
