Honda Power shifts manufacturing base

New Delhi, Aug 2: Honda Siel Power Products Ltd (HSPP) today said it has decided to shift its manufacturing facility from Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) to Greater Noida, (UP).

The company said in a statement that it needs its entire workforce of Rudrapur at its facility at Greater Noida.

It will be ensured that the same emoluments and benefits with continuity in service are provided to the workers at the Greater Noida plant, the statement added.

HSPP, formerly known as Shriram Honda Power Equipment Limited, is a joint venture between Honda Motor Co Japan and Siel Ltd, with 67 per cent equity stake of Honda Motor Co Japan.

It is engaged in the manufacturing of Portable Generators, Water Pumping Sets and General Purpose Engines and has now manufacturing facilities at Greater Noida and Puduchery.
