Govt.constitutes advisory council for Information Department

Panaji, Aug 2 (UNI) The Goa government has constituted a 10-member advisory council, headed by chief minister Diagambar Kamat, for the department of Information and Publicity with immediate effect.

Aimed at suitably advising the department on planning the policies and programmes of the government for wide publicity, the council will meet at least three times in a financial year.

While director of the department is member secretary of the council, chief secretary J.P.Singh is its vice-chairman, according to an official release.

Other members include Diwan Chand, special secretary of the department, Uday Bhembre, former editor of Sunaparant, Mrs.Pallavi S.Dempo, executive director of Dempo Industries, Vishnu Wagh, writer, Tomazinho Cardozo, dramatist, Raju Nayak of Publicity department and Robin Abreu, editor of Herald.
