Deer ruining crop in MP villages
Shajapur, MP, Aug 2 (UNI) The rising number of deer in this Malwa region district's Kalapeepal area is ironically becoming a cause for concern as the herbivores, including rare black bucks, are destroying standing crop in Chaini, Rampura, Farad, Kankriya, Chaharkhedi, Anandikhedi and Mandlakhedi villages.
Forest Department sources said that 26 deer were detected in the area two years back, 38 last year and more than 50 this year.
The creatures prefer to live on the bank of the Parvati river that adjoins Sehore district.
