'Cultural ties of Bihar with Mauritius to grow stronger'
Patna, Aug 2: Overwhelmed with the love and affection showered by the people of Mauritius, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar exuded confidence that its cultural ties with the country would find a new vista in the days ahead.
On the eve of winding up his five-day official visit to Mauritius yesterday, Mr Kumar said in Port Luis on July 31 that the Bihar Foundation had been created to channelise the efforts of those who were interested in promoting cultural ties between Bihar and Mauritius. ''Special facilities would be provided to the Mauritian entrepreneurs who are interested in investment in Bihar,'' he added.
'Trace your roots' programme launched by the state government was aimed at helping those who had settled here centuries ago, to trace their land of ancestors in Bihar, Mr Kumar said.
He said it was really a matter of ''pride and glory'' that people from Bihar, who had settled here centuries ago, had shaped the destiny of Mauritius.
