Campaign to fill backlog of reserved posts

Bhopal, Aug 2 (UNI) The special recruitment drive to fill up backlog of various posts reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in Madhya Pradesh has been extended till December 31, 2007.

A total of 16,210 vacant posts were filled up through the special recruitment drive till February this year, official sources said, adding this included 4,461 posts reserved for SC, 10,538 for ST and 1,211 for OBCs.

Meanwhile, the annual income limit of parents of OBC candidates for deciding the creamy layer had been raised to Rs 2.50 lakh from Rs 2 lakh.
