Boy dies of gastroenteritis in K'taka,139 fall sick

Gulbarga, Karnataka, Aug 2 (UNI) A boy died and 139 were indisposed due to suspected gastroenteritis in Shahapur Taluk of the district today.

District Health Officer Nalini Namoshi informed UNI the cause could be consumption of contaminated water.

The deceased had been identified as Faiyaz Ahmed (8) who died of acute dehydration.

A team of medical officers have rushed to the affected village, the sources added.
