Blue Dart introduces new warehouse in Patna,plans further expansion

Patna, Aug 02 (UNI) Blue Dart, one of the leading couriers in South Asia, today announced the launch of its new warehouse here as part of its nationwide expansion programme this year.

Speaking to the newspersons here today, Blue Dart Express Limited, Vice-president(East)Amol Dasgupta said the rise of the middle income group in Bihar had positioned the city as a huge consumer market, which was strategic for achieving higher business volume for Blue Dart in the Eastern region.

He said the new warehouse would be able to cater to about 300 different locations in the state and the new facility with improved connectivity would ensure faster deliveries of consignments. Several industrial units, particularly those belonging to pharmaceuticals and telecom sectors, would be benefitted much.

Moreover, Mr Dasgupta said the Blue Dart had chalked out detailed programme to further strengthen its infrastructural facilities in Bihar region along with the rest of the country by this year end to meet the demands of its growing customer base.

He said as a special offer to its growing customer base Blue Dart had planned to introduce a unique ''Rakhee'' consignment prior to the Raksha Bandhan day later this month. Under this special package people would receive perishable items and festival gifts safely and within 24 hours.
