3 of family commit suicide in Bhandara
Nagpur, Aug 2 (UNI) A woman and her two sons committed suicide by consuming poison in Bhandara district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
According to police, Ramabai Keshav Urkude (80), and her sons Sudhakar Keshav Urkude (60) and Arun Keshav Urkude (45), ended their lives at their home in Tumsar in the district yesterday.
A suicide note was found in Arun's pocket in which he mentioned harassment by private moneylenders for repayment of an outstanding loan.
It is suspected that Arun mixed some poisonous substance in the food that they consumed, leading to the deaths. Arun's wife, identified as Sheela (40), was not at home at the time of the meals and, therefore, was not affected, police said.
The family used to run a jewellery shop, which had been shut down a few months back, police added.
