2 school girls killed as compound wall falls

Tumkur, Karnataka, Aug 2 (UNI) Two school girls studying in standard one in a private school at Chikkanayakanahalli Town of this district were killed when the compound wall of the institution collapsed on them this evening.

According to police sources, the incident occurred in the evening killing Charitha (6) and Yashaswini (6).

The school, reportedly run by a Mutt, was housed in a weak structure resulting in the mishap.

Large number of people gathered before the hospital where the bodies were kept, protesting the incident.
